Newell K. Sanders

Newell K. Sanders, 78 of Lee County died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

His funeral service will be 3 PM Wednesday at Leesburg Cemetery.  Rev. Jamie Sanders will officiate.

A native of Newton, Mr. Sanders had lived in Lee County for the past 57 years and farmed all of his life.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jean Smith Sanders, Lee County, sons, Kris Sanders (Margo), Worth County, Keith Sanders, Lee County, Timmy Sanders, Worth County, a brother, J. B. Sanders, Newton 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
