Nettie Hill Willis

Nettie Hill Willis, 91, of Albany, GA, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Southeastern Georgia Health System in Brunswick, GA.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM graveside at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Pastor Pete Daughtry will officiate.

A native of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mrs. Willis was born to the late Thomas and Sara Hill and grew up in Albany, GA.  She graduated from Albany High School and lived there all of her life before moving to Brunswick four years ago.  She was employed with Coats and Clark for twenty years as a Stenographer and was of the Christian Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Willis, Jr., three sisters, Fannie Lee Hill Morris, Mildred Hill Daughtry and Mary Lokey and a brother, Benton Hill.  Survivors include her sons, James “Sonny” Willis and his wife, Diane of Lee County, GA, Thomas D. “Danny” Willis, Sr. and his wife, Becky of Douglasville, GA and Franklin “Frank” Willis and his wife, Sylvia of Brunswick, GA, her grandchildren, Jennifer Bryant and her husband, Donnie and Shannon Roland all of Lee County, GA, Amanda Shuemake and her husband, Kevin of Temple, GA, Thomas D. Willis, Jr. and his wife, Katie of Newnan, GA, Rachael Burke and her husband, Billy of Jacksonville, FL and Michelle Swindall of Jacksonville, FL and ten great-grandchildren.

The family is at the residence of Sonny and Diane Willis, 231 Story Lane, Leesburg, GA, 31763.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
