Nettie Moss Peterson

Nettie Moss Peterson, 74, of Albany, died Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Willson Hospice House.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Born in Dothan, AL, to Lonzo and Bernice Moss, Nettie moved to Albany in 1954. She was a graduate of Dougherty High School where she played basketball and was a member of the 1974 Championship team and was the MVP. A business person at heart She had several different ventures over the years include Celebrations by Nettie.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Tyre Blauch, her parents, brothers, Ronnie Moss, Donny Moss, Kenny Moss, sisters, Jimmie Brand and Debra Holton.

Survivors include her husband E. M. “Pete” Peterson, grandchildren, Emma Grace Blauch and Anna Grace Blauch, sisters, Betty Butler (Tony), Martha Nobles, Barbara Mashburn (Dennis).
