Nellie Ree Wohlforth

Nellie Ree Wohlforth, 87, of Leary, GA, died February 20, 2018 at Willson Hospice House.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Chris Holdorf will officiate.  Interment will follow at 12:00 Noon at Andersonville National Cemetery.

A native of Calhoun County, GA, Mrs. Wohlforth grew up and graduated from Morgan High School in 1947 and moved to Albany, GA to work with Coats and Clark.  She met her husband and they married in 1959.  For the next seventeen years, she was a military wife and returned to Albany in 1975 from Oklahoma City, OK.

Mrs. Wohlforth moved back to Calhoun County in 1993.  She was retired from the State of Georgia and was a member of the Morgan Baptist Church.  She enjoyed camping, traveling with her husband, Roy, to many parts of the United States and was a member of the Good Sam Club.

Survivors include her husband of fifty nine years, Roy F. Wohlforth of Leary, GA, a son, Kenneth R. Hall and his wife, Marty of Yulee, FL, two sisters, Sara Bainbridge of Perry, GA and Ollie Mae Giles of Leary, GA and three brothers, Wayne Etheridge, Terry Etheridge and his wife, Jean and Wilbur Etheridge and his wife, Dencie all of Leary, GA.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Thursday at Mathews Funeral Home.
