Nancy Jane Sale Williams, 75, of Albany, GA passed away peacefully at her home on May 20, 2024. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at The Leesburg City Cemetery. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate.
Nancy was born to Mr. and Mrs. H.K. Sale in Urbana, IL on September 21, 1948. Her father was in the Military and after traveling to various states and to Japan, he and his family returned to Valdosta, GA. Her career for 40+ years was in the medical field and she retired from Medical Associates of Albany. She loved her co-workers and considered them family until the end.
Nancy was a devout Christian but due to her physical difficulties, she devoted each day to reading the Bible and watching her favorite preachers. She shared her love for Christ with her friends and her family. She enjoyed her garden and books and silly reality shows. And when she was no longer able to leave her home, long phone calls to friends.
Most of all, she loved her husband whom she married in 1974. They would pray and hold hands at night and tell each other how blessed they were to have a wonderful life and family. Her husband was her rock, not only for her, but everybody else in the family. He had many calls from the family when someone was in a wreck, had a flat tire, etc.
Nancy cherished her daughter, Memorie Blitch-Deck, who was her best friend. Memorie also blessed her with two beautiful granddaughters, Alaine Memorie Blitch and Lexi Grace Blitch. The times she spent with her “girls” shopping, baking, getting manicures and so much more were her favorite memories.
Nancy was blessed with a son, Richie M. Williams, who made her so proud, whether it was when he was a Firefighter/EMT and a Professor of Psychology. He could always help her when she was not feeling her best with good advise. They would have many conversations with laughter.
Survivors include her husband, Richard M. Williams, Sr., of Albany, GA, her children, Memorie Blitch-Deck of Lee County, GA and Richie Williams of Brunswick, GA, two grandchildren, Alaina Blitch of Sylvester, GA and Lexi Blitch of Lee County, GA and her brother, Kenneth Sale (Pam) of Rockhill, SC.
The family is at their residence.
Those desiring may make memorials in memory of Nancy to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL, 60611.
