Nancy M. Thomas

Nancy Morrison Thomas, 78, of Leesburg, GA passed away on June 15, 2015 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Gillionville Baptist Church. Mike Neuman will officiate.

She was born in Columbus, GA to the late W.R. Morrison and Mable Holton Morrison.

Nancy married Jim Thomas in 1956 while on their honeymoon, they spent the night in Albany. They returned to the Albany area to live in September 1963 when they started Albany Elevator where she worked as the office manager. Nancy was saved in 1950 and became a member of Gillionville Baptist Church after moving to Albany.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Thomas, two sons, Gary Thomas (Sudie) of Albany, GA, Tommy Thomas (Terese) of Leesburg, GA, and one daughter, Joyce Thomas Harper (Chuck) who are serving as missionaries in Hondurus. Thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday at Gillionville Baptist Church and at other times at their home.
