Nancy A. Gabaldon, 85, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Edward J. Green will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
Nancy (called Nan by family and friends here) was born October 17, 1931 in Pelham, GA. The seventh of nine children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Moree of Albany, GA. Nancy graduated from Albany High School in 1948 and married Harold F.V Gabaldon an USAF Airman stationed at Turner AFB in Albany, GA. Soon after their marriage they engaged in a comprehensive, systematic Bible study and were baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses in 1951.
Their primary goal in life then and now was to seek first Gods kingdom by Christ Jesus and all other pursuits secondary. In 1956 Nancy along with her husband Val were called to the 27th class of Gilead in South Lansing, N.Y. Upon graduation they were assigned as missionaries to Colombia S.A where they served at the branch and in circuit work for the next four years. Nancy proved to be an excellent missionary and helped numbers of people both at home and abroad to come to a knowledge of Bible truth and dedicate their lives to Jehovah God.
She is survived by her husband Harold F.V Gabaldon of Albany, GA, a son Harold David Gabaldon and daughter in law Marcela Gabaldon of Leesburg, GA, granddaughters Roxanne Gabaldon Pint and her husband Michael of Macon, GA, Andrea Gabaldon and Sarah Gabaldon of Leesburg, GA, grandson Austin Gabaldon of Leesburg, GA, a great grandson Barrett Gabaldon Pint of Macon, GA, a brother Ronnie and his wife Barbara Moree, many nieces and nephews, family and numerous personal friends.
