Myrna Lou Kirksey Goodwin

Myrna Lou Kirksey Goodwin, 83, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 5, 2025.

Myrna (affectionately known as “Lou” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren) was born on February 14, 1941 in Parrott, GA to Hoke and Odessa Kirksey. She attended Webster County School where she met her life-long companion Raymond Jesse Goodwin. The two were married on February 11, 1962. 

Myrna was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Goodwin, her brother Jerry Kirksey and her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Pamela Holden (Rob) and Tammy Walden, grandchildren, Niko Goodwin (Jordan), Allie Best (Tyler), Matthew Holden (Gracie), Cole Holden and her great grandchildren Rhett, Griffin, Sully and Parker.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service, Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 5716 Macedonia Church Rd, Preston, GA, 31824. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and will receive friends at 10:00 AM.
