Michael (Mike) Ray Tripp

Michael Ray Tripp, 61, of Albany, GA died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Lee Co. Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. John McComas will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mike was born on January 4, 1958 in Albany, GA, he was a graduate of Dougherty High School and Georgia State University. He worked in the food service industry and was catering manager for Savannah Trade and Convention Center before failing health. He was an accomplished chef, enjoyed flowers, gardening and fishing. Mike was a Christian, loved the Lord and was a member of Radium Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Smith Tripp.

Survivors include his Mother, Marie Tripp, Brother, Bobby Tripp, sister, Susan Simons (Greg), niece, Julie Walz (Matt), nephew, Kevin Simons (Nita), nephew, Chris Tripp (Jamie).

The family would like to thank the staff at Lee Co. Health and Rehabilitation for their professional and compassionate care.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
