Michael Byron (Mike) Tabb, Jr

Michael Byron (Mike) Tabb, Jr., of Leary, GA died Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Milford Baptist Church. Rev. John Spencer will officiate. Interment will follow in Milford Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born in Arlington, GA, Mr. Tabb had resided in Baker Co., GA all of his life. He was a graduate of South West Georgia Academy and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He was currently serving on the board of the Baker County Department of Family and Children's Services. He was a member of the Hearts and Hands Sunday School Class and a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his first wife, Candy Michelle Tabb.

Mike was a strong Christian and a witness to everyone he encountered. His walk with the Lord started on March 16, 1975 at the age of ten. He never faltered from his faith for thirty eight years.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Merritt Tabb, Leary, GA, four sons, Anthony Tabb, Leary, GA, Roger Tabb (Jennifer), Colquitt, GA, Chandler Tabb, Leary, GA, Camden Scott, Leary, GA, two daughters, Christinia Waller (Marquez), Jamestown, NC, Emilyn Scott, Leary, GA, his parents, Michael Byron Tabb, Sr. and Karin S. Tabb, Leary, GA, a brother, Robert Andrew (Robbie) Tabb (Angel), Leary, GA, a sister, Amy Smith (Trey), Blakely, GA, four grandchildren, Nicholas Tabb, Isabella Tabb, Maxwell Tabb and Alexandria Tabb, mother and father-in-law, Lee and Nita Merritt, Albany, GA, sister-in-laws, Leanne Speight (Mike), Lake Blackshear, GA, Maria Smith (Tony), Albany, GA and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the atrium of Sherwood Baptist Church.
