Michael J. McKinnon

Michael J. (Mike) McKinnon, 63, of Albany, GA, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Albany Bible Church. Rev. Greg McKinnon and Pastor Pete Daughtry will officiate. The Deacons of Albany Bible Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral at Albany Bible Church.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM (CST) at the social hall of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise, AL with a committal service to follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 PM (CST). Rev. Greg McKinnon and Rev. Sonny Moore will officiate.

A native of Enterprise, AL, Mike graduated from Enterprise High School in 1969 and was president of the senior class. He had resided in Leesburg, GA and Albany, GA since 1985 and was involved in the sign and print manufacturing business for forty three years.

He was a member of the Albany Lions Club, was active and supportive of the Boy Scouts and had received the Silver Beaver Award. Mike was a member of the Albany Bible Church for twenty eight years and served as a Deacon for the past twenty five years. He also served as chairman of the Missions and Ministries for fifteen years.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy A. McKinnon of Albany, GA, three daughters, Jennifer Kirkland of Atlanta, GA, Lori (Robert) Jacobs of Troy, AL and Cindy (Tommy) McNair of Leesburg, GA, his mother, Bette McKinnon of Niceville, FL, two brothers, Greg (Hope) McKinnon of Niceville, FL and Steve (Ann) of Daleville, AL, his grandchildren, Peyton Jacobs of Troy, AL and Jacob Casey and Austin Casey both of Leesburg, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Joseph McKinnon and a sister, Tamara M. Dyes.
