Maybelle Gilley McPherson

Maybelle Gilley McPherson, 72, of Dawson, GA died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Thomas Michael McPherson will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Dawson, GA.

Born in Lee Co., GA, Mrs. McPherson had resided in Dawson, GA for the past fifty-three years. She was a pharmacist assistant and was formerly employed with the Dawson Pharmacy and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clarence Gilley and Alice Clark Gilley, sisters, Mavis Cameron, Vernelle Skates Simmons and a brother, Wayne Gilley.

Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Wills, Dawson, GA, a daughter, Crystal Gay McPherson (Robert), Albany, GA, a son, Wayne McPherson (Sarah), Camilla, GA, two brothers, Buddy Gilley (Virginia), Lee Co., GA, Truman Gilley, Worth Co., GA, four sisters, Frances Lewis (O.J.), Annette Gilley and Jeanette Gilley all of Lee Co., GA, and Jean Nichols (Julius), Terrell County, GA, three grandchildren, Gabby Peyton, Diana Wills and Mary Grace McPherson, Mr. Wills' son, Lamar Wills (Kerri), Dawson, GA and daughter, Sandi Wills Peyton (Allen), Buford, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday evening at 7:30 at Mathews Funeral Home.
