Max Harold Harper

Max Harold Harper, 81, of Lee County, GA, passed away June 26, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

Max was born in Kokomo, IN, to the late Carl and Doris Harper. He was a very hard working man that worked for General Motors for 28 years and continued to work part-time for O’Reilly up until October of 2017. The family would also like for friends to know that he has a huge passion for golf and NASCAR. He also loved spending time with his wife Carole and his whole family. He will be greatly missed by his entire family and his special buddy, his and moms dog, Pepper.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Carole Harper, two daughters Lisa Harper of Albany, GA, and Kerry (Bradon) Beecher of Lee County, four grandchildren Justin Harper and his fiancée Jessica Westbury of Coco, FL, Steven (Maggie) Rose of Hoover, AL, Maggie Beecher and Hannah Beecher both of Lee County, GA, two great grandchildren Haley Morgan Rose of Albany, GA and Ayden Jayce Hart of Lee County, GA, a sister Beverly Amos of Columbus, OH and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, 2018 one hour prior to the service.
