Mavis Karen Hatcher

Mavis Karen Brown Hatcher, 67, of Albany, GA died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Pruitt-Palmyra in Albany, GA.

Born in Bronx, New York, Mrs. Hatcher had resided in Albany, GA since the 70’s. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Brown and Lois Dessa Ferguson Brown and several brothers and sisters.

Mavis worked at a variety of stores throughout her life, with Piggly Wiggly being her favorite. She also spent several years working at Wee Care Daycare. She had a love for arts and crafts of all kinds, but she especially excelled in crocheting blankets. Mavis was very fond of television legal dramas like Law and Order, mystery novels, and she was also an avid fan of crossword and word search puzzles. Cooking and baking were both things she enjoyed. She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Amanda E. Hatcher of Leesburg, Ga and a sister, Lori Etheridge of Macon, GA.
