Mary Florence Smith

Mary Florence Smith, 83, of Albany, GA, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Lee County Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Turner will officiate. Interment will follow in Sumner City Cemetery.

Born in Albany, GA to the late George and Ella McDonald, Mrs. Smith was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved the Lord above all else and was a member of Lighthouse Ministries.

Survivors include her children Joyce Holton of Comstock, NC, JoAnn Barfield (Windell) of Albany, GA, Junior Smith (Jenny) of Baconton, GA, Bobby Smith (Lisa) of Albany, GA, Angie Lamb of Albany, GA and Sherry Jones (Rusty) of Thomasville, GA, brothers Clifford McDonald and Bobby McDonald, and a sister Kathy Tucker all of Leesburg, GA, seventeen grandchildren, Robert, Paul, Christy, Josh, Kayla, Kelly, Jacob, Dustin, Beverly, Jesse, Jordan, Hannah, Bailyn, Noah, Mary Angela, Juliet, Logan, and four great grandchildren, Nikki, Kira, Brooks and Turner.

In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband Milton M. “Bubba” Smith, a brother Junior McDonald and a sister Judy Love.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
