Mary Agnes Martin

Mary Agnes Martin, 89, of Lee County, GA, died November 28, 2015 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Prince will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Ideal, GA, Mrs. Martin was born to the late Cronic Joseph and Lollie Mae Bivins. She moved to Albany, GA from Americus, GA in 1957 and moved to Lee County, GA in 1969. Mrs. Martin was employed with Fritex as a seamstress for thirty years before retiring and also worked at Wendy's Restaurant. She was a member of White Water Baptist Church and attended Lakeside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death in 2009 by her husband, Thomas Lloyd Martin.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Gene and Patricia Martin of Lee County, GA, two daughters and their husbands, Toni and Bruce Young of Lee County, GA and Shirley and Wallace Sloan of Ida, MI, six grandchildren, Jake (Pam) Martin of Brooklyn, NY, Ken Martin of Lee County, GA, Jeffrey (Karen) Sloan of Ann Arbor, MI, Patricia (Pete) Kane and Mendy (Eric) Ball all of Dundee, MI, Christie (Chris) Rice of Lee County, GA and Kimberly (Don)Wadsworth of Centreville, AL, eleven great grandchildren, Kendra Sloan, Lauren Sloan, Justin Kane, Colin Kane, Sydney Ball, Londyn Ball, Jade Rice, Jacie Rice, C.J. Rice, Nick Giles and Tyler Wadsworth and a special friend, Martha Jackson of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
