Mary Alice Jones

Mary Alice Rigsby Jones, 77, of Dawson Georgia died Saturday June 2, 2012 at her home after a short illness.

Mary was born on August 28, 1934 in Dawson, the daughter of Roland Rigsby and Alice King Rigsby Flanders. She married William Allan Jones on August 14, 1955. They moved to Illinois in 1965 and lived in Florida as well before Mary returned to Dawson in 1992.

Survivors include a daughter and husband, Tracey and Tim Meisenheimer of Albuquerque NM, three grandchildren, Michael Allan Jones of Indianapolis IN, Sarah Ross of Tucson AZ and John Meisenheimer of Albuquerque NM. 2 great-grandsons, Eli Allan Jones and Tyler Steven Jones, her sister and husband, Nancy and Wayne Miller, of Kennesaw GA and sister-in-law, Nancy Jones Richey, and husband John of Piedmont, SC, also survive her.

Her parents, her husband of 34 years, and her son Steven Allan Jones preceded her in death.

For those desiring, donations in honor of Mary may be made to the Terrell County Public Library, 913 Forrester Dr. SE Dawson GA. Mary had a life-long love of reading and was a member of the Friends of the Terrell Co. Library for many years.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday June 8 in the Carnegie Room of the Terrell Co. Public Library in Dawson.
