Mary Elizabeth Bruner

Mary Elizabeth Bruner, 76 of Leesburg, GA., died April 12, 2022 surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Friday, April 22, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Philema Road Baptist Church. 

Mary Elizabeth Bruner was born in Ocala, Florida to the late Amos Alvin Sistrunk, Sr. and Lillian Mae Sistrunk, on October 7, 1945. 

Mary Elizabeth Bruner is preceded in death by her sisters Joetta Branson, Doris Cadwalader, and Barbara Sistrunk. 

Survivors include her husband, Robert Emory Bruner, Jr., brother, Amos Alvin Sistrunk, Jr., daughters Dawn Dobbs and Melissa McDowell, step sons, Robert Eric Bruner, Bryan Paul Bruner (Cristy), Britt Alan Bruner, grandchildren, Robert Ward, Brendan McDowell, Madelyn McDowell, Marlana Dobbs, Nick Bruner, Matthew Bruner, Christian Bruner, Bo Bruner, Conner Bruner and four great-grandchildren. 

Mary was known as “lil Mary” to friends and “Granny” to family. She loved to read, cook and spend time with her family and friends. She was selfless and always put her family first.
