Marvin Clayton Bryant

Marvin C. Bryant, 80, of Bronwood, GA, died February 5, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Morgan, GA, born to the late Irvin and Lourie Bryant, Mr. Bryant grew up in Terrell County, GA and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Early in life he was a farmer, but was employed as a Supervisor with Stevens Industries, Cargill Inc. and Golden Peanut Company for a total of fifty one years. Mr. Bryant was also a former member of The Loyal Order of The Moose # 1285 in Albany, GA.

Survivors include his wife of 60 1/2 years, Sadie Bryant of Bronwood, GA, a son, Buster (Beth) Bryant, two daughters, Faye (John Rodman) Ferrer, Becky (Melvin) Gibbs all of Lee County, GA, three brothers, Lester (Carolyn) Bryant of Bronwood, GA, Jack Bryant of Albany, GA and Billy Bryant of Deerfield, OH, four sisters, Betty White of Phenix City, AL, Carolyn Brannon of Lee County, GA, Jane Cloud of Dawson, GA and Evelyn (James) Williams of Bowling Green, KY, seven grandchildren, Clayton (Natalie) Bryant of Tyler, TX, Misty (Charles) Cole, Cody Bryant, Maria Ferrer, Stephanie (Chris) Berry and Kimberly (Mark) Dockery all of Lee County, GA and Jessica (Josh) Sumner of Albany, GA and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
