Martha Juanita Taylor

Martha Juanita Taylor, 87, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at lee County Health Care. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 7, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Marshall will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Colquitt County, GA Mrs. Taylor had resided in Albany since 1943 moving from Moultrie, GA. She was salesperson at Sears and was a switchboard operator at Palmyra Medical Center and Bellsouth Telephone Company. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Albany Gospel Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilburn Taylor.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Taylor (Emily) of Albany, GA, Julian Taylor (Janet) of Sharpsburg, GA and Mitch Taylor of Cordova, TN, three brothers, Wayne Strickland (Faye) of Dundee, FL, Doug Strickland of Doyle, TN and Clayton Strickland (Gee) of Slydel, LA, six grandchildren, Angela Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, II, Matt Taylor (Rebecca), Julie Taylor Banks, Kathryn Taylor and Emily Glass (Ryan), six great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Taylor, Anna Beth Taylor and Graci Glass, Maggie Taylor, Taylor Hernandez and Jackson Glass.

The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 PM until funeral time at the Mathews Funeral Home.
