Martha Ann Parker

Martha Ann Watkins Parker (Mema), 80, of Leesburg passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, December 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the Leesburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Ms. Parker was born May 18, 1939 in Albany, Georgia to VN and Elizabeth Watkins.  She had lived in Leesburg, Georgia all her life. Ms. Parker graduated from Lee County High School on May 30, 1958.  She worked for Macgregor Golf for 30 years before retiring.  Ms. Parker went on to drive a school bus for 18 years before retiring again in 2018. She still continued to work at Friendship Baptist and Leesburg Methodist Church in Leesburg, Ga, where she took pride in keeping God's house clean until she became too sick to continue in early part of 2019.  Ms. Parker was a dedicated and faithful worker no matter the roll she played.  She attended church at Leesburg Methodist Church and enjoyed creating many arts and crafts such as coloring, making jewelry, blankets, etc.

Survivors include her daughters, Tina P. Morell of Leesburg, Tammy P. Wellington (Morris) of Albany, and Lisa P. Worrell (Donnie II) of Leesburg; her Grandkids, Jason Grizzard, Amanda Faircloth (Mark), Ben Davis (Angie), David Morell, Timothy Morell (Audrey) and Donnie Worrell III; 15 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandson; a brother, Cecil Watkins of Leesburg, and a sister, Helen Bailey of Camden, TN. 

Ms. Parker is preceded in death by her parents, VN (Bud) and Elizabeth Watkins, a sister, Ginger C Watson and a daughter, Gina C. Parker Ethridge.

The family will also be receiving guests at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Tina Morrell.
