Martha Daniel Jones

Martha Elizabeth Jones, of Lee Co., GA, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at her residence. Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Beattie Road Church of Christ. Minister Doug Haught will officiate.

A native of Clanton, AL, Mrs. Jones had resided in Albany, GA for the past forty two years moving here from St. Charles, MO. She was a floral designer and owned and operated Martha's Flowers thirty plus years before her retirement. She was an award winning floral designer and floral design instructor and active in the floral industries for over fifty years. She was president of GA State Florist association and was a member of and held executive offices with SWGA Florist Association. She was an active member of Beattie Road Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Daniel, Sr. and Mary Lee Spinks Daniel and two brothers, Billy Daniel and James H. Daniel, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Jack E. Jones, Jr., Cordele, GA, Chester Meek, Boonveille, MS, a daughter, Dana Nash, Lee Co., GA, two brothers, Bob Daniel, St. Charles, MO, Lee Daniel, Sulphur Springs, TX, two sisters, Sue Voltz, Pelham, GA, Jean Aker (Pete), Albany, GA, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
