Mark Scott Milling, 59, of Leesburg, GA., died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Private memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with Military Honors. Dr. Todd Sullens will officiate.
Mr. Milling was a native of Albany, GA and was currently residing in Leesburg. He was retired from the United States Navy after twenty eight years of service. Mr. Milling served in Desert Storm. He was an equipment specialist at the Marine Corps Logistics Base and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Milling was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin E. Milling and Sarah Newell Milling.
Survivors include his wife, Helen T. Milling, Leesburg, GA., three sons Richard Milling, Chula Vista, CA., Ryan Milling, Tampa, FL., and Billy Slankard (Shara), Leesburg, GA., three brothers, Ed Milling (Sandra), Albany, GA., Calvin Milling (Brenda), Leesburg, GA., and Phillip Milling (Dianne), Albany, GA., a sister, Jakie Brown (Gene), Juliet, GA., three grandchildren and his beloved pets.
