Mark W. Brown

Mark Wilson Brown, 61, of Albany, died Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at his residence.

His memorial service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 13 2022 at Mathews Funeral Home.  Mr. Charles E. Brown, Mr. Sam Shugart and Mr. Sonny Brown will officiate.

Though he never served in the military, all of his friends lovingly called him “Captain”.  He professed his faith in Jesus Christ and entrusted his soul to Christ publicly.  His church was the group of friends who helped him find such faith and who stood by him faithfully. 

In 1982 he moved to Albany with his father.  With a business partner they started “Furniture Mart Rentals”.  In Albany, he made life long friends and because of those friends he wanted to live out his life in Albany.

Thank you to all of his friends who supported him through his illness, he loved all of you deeply.   

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles E. Brown and Jean Guyse Brown.

Survivors include his sister, Kelly Jean Brown, brother, Charles E. Brown, Jr. (Dale Patricia), 4 nephews, a niece, and a host of friends.
