Marian Rooks Hunt

Marian Rooks Hunt, 73, of Bronwood, GA, died July 26, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Reagan Marsh will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

A native of Albany, GA, born to the late Walker and Helen Hay Rooks, Mrs. Hunt had resided both in Albany, GA and Terrell County, GA all of her life. She was a waitress at Gargano’s East Restaurant for twenty five years and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bronwood, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Perry Hunt in 2004.

Survivors include her children, Teresa Reynolds and her husband, Gerald of Albany, GA, Cathleeen Ridgeway and her husband, Todd Parro of Littleton, CO, David Ridgeway of Albany, GA, Clifford Ridgeway and his wife, Norma of Bridgton, NJ, Charles Ridgeway and Johnny Ridgeway both of Bronwood, GA, a sister, Helen Massey and her husband, J.W. of Albany, GA, her grandchildren, Heather Stein, Chrissy Stein, Justin Jones, Aerica Ridgeway, Brittany Jones, Tiffany Ford, Brandon Squires, Joshua Jones, Benjamin Stein, Courtney Jones, Corey Lee, Ashley Squires, Walker Ridgeway and Michael Ridgeway and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family will be at the residence of Teresa and Gerald Reynolds, 1501 Hancock Road, Lot 26, Albany, GA, 31705.
