Margaret Elaine Strickland

Margaret Elaine Glisson Strickland, 84, of Albany, Georgia died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, March 30, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. William Collins officiated. Interment followed on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Iron City, GA.

Born in Donalsonville, GA, Mrs. Strickland was a military wife and had lived in many cities. After her husband’s military service they moved to Albany, GA where they resided for many years. She was a home maker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton Franklin Glisson and Montine Miller Glisson and her husband, William Horace Strickland.

Survivors include her son, Ronald E. Strickland, Huntsville, AL, a daughter, Cynthia Elaine Strickland, Leesburg, GA and a sister, Dorothy G. Houston, Colquitt, GA.
