Margaret Elizabeth Baxley Pellicano

Margaret Elizabeth Baxley Pellicano, 94, of Albany, GA passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, GA. Rev. Charles Brown will officiate, Rev. Charles Jones will be the vocalist and her grandsons, grandsons-in-law and Max Clower will serve as active pallbearers. A native of Gordy, GA in Worth County, Mrs. Pellicano was born July 20, 1923 to the late James Isaac and Annie Valeria Baxley. She was a graduate of Worth County High School and moved to Albany, GA in the early 1940’s where she met her late husband, Pat Pellicano. Early on, she worked at Sealy Office Supply, but she loved making a home and caring for her family. Mrs. Pellicano was a wonderful seamstress and her joy was to make all her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s heirloom gowns. Mrs. Pellicano was a faithful member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church for over sixty-five years and was a member of the Joanne Fletcher Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Golden Key, Happy Hearts, the T.O.P.S. and played Domino’s on Saturdays. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Pellicano and her son, Ashley Pellicano as well as five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two sons, Tony Pellicano and his wife Lucy, Barry Pellicano and his wife Debbie, a daughter-in-law, Lynn Pellicano, her grandchildren, LaShelle Joiner (Jimmy), Kelly Shiver (Clint), Bryan Pellicano, Angie Allen (Russ), Brandy Dew (Stephen), Noelle Davis, and Ashton Pellicano, and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 PM at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Those desiring may make memorial donations in memory of Margaret E.
