Malcolm was born in Coleman, GA in 1942 and grew up in Shellman. Malcolm would tell you that he was a simple man who believed that God came first and then his family and that is the way he lived his life. He enjoyed bird watching, gardening and his two cats.
In 1975, Malcolm became a member of the First Assembly of God which is now the Church At The Groves. He had a deep and abiding love for his church family and served on the deacon board and ushered for many years. He shared his love of Jesus Christ through his ministry at the jail, the Anchorage, and the Albany Rescue Mission. He never missed an opportunity to share his love of Jesus with anyone he met.
Malcolm chose to support his family by becoming a barber in 1973 where he developed life-long friendships, always greeting his clients with a warm welcome and friendly smile. After suffering from COPD for a number of years, Malcolm retired in 2016 to have more time with his beloved wife Elizabeth. His children would say that there was no greater love than the one of their parents.
