Madge L. Moore, 79, of Leesburg, GA, died December 29, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. John GrosVenor will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was a Native American, a member of the Yankton Sioux and Karuk Tribes. She was born on August 8, 1933 in San Jacinto, CA at Saboba Indian Hospital to the late Andrew and Winifred Archambeau Duncan. Mrs. Moore graduated from San Bernardino High School and San Bernardino Valley College. She moved to the Albany and Leesburg area with her late husband, Archie Frank Moore in 1965. She was a retired OR Nurse with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Leesburg Congregation.
Survivors include a daughter, Annette L. Andrade of Leesburg, GA, her grandsons, David Guy Andrade of Spokane, WA and Brian David Moore and his wife, Adrianne of Macon, GA, a granddaughter, Rachel K. Andrade of Spokane, WA, five great-grandchildren, Talon Mork, Wyatt Frank Moore, Ashton Moore, Haylee Moore and Rayne Moore, a sister, Geraldine GrosVenor of Nespelem, WA, a cousin, Dr. Guy Archambeau of Acoma, NM and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Alton F. (Butch) Moore, a brother, James Duncan and a sister, Lois Easterday.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 4, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
