Mable Daniel

Mable P. Daniel, 75, of Albany, GA, died October 28, 2021 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Chris Turner will officiate.  Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

Mable was born on November 8, 1945 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital to the late Nick and Mary Spillers.  She was raised in Lee County, GA and lived there most of her life until moving to Albany, GA in 2010.  She was employed with the Lee County School System for many years and many people knew her from Harvey’s Supermarket and Heavenly Ham.

Mable never met a stranger and attended Lighthouse Ministries.  She loved to work in her garden, cook, music and dance.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Raymond J. Purvis, Jr. and her first husband, Raymond E. “Ray” Purvis, Sr.

Survivors include her husband, Robert H. “Bobby” Daniel of Albany, GA, her daughter, Tammy Marie Purvis of Leesburg, GA, her granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Crow of Calhoun, GA, a great-grandchild, Glendon Crow of Calhoun, GA and a niece Judy (Allen) Hatcher of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home.
