Mabel Palmer Lamb

Mabel Palmer Lamb, 79, of Albany, GA, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Neal Hagar will officiate.

Born in Camilla, GA, Mrs. Lamb grew up in Sale City, GA and moved to Albany, GA in 1955 moving from Hopeful, GA. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Lee Palmer and Lura Edwards Palmer, two brothers, John H. Palmer and Ralph Palmer and a sister Shirley Ruth Palmer.

Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Louie Lamb, two sons, Louie Lamb, Jr and his wife Diane, Lee Co., GA, David Lee Lamb and his husband Paul Jones, Albany, GA, four sisters, Mary Lee Fox, Tifton, GA, Montine Akridge and her husband Aulton, Hartsfield, GA, Florene Moye and her husband Hayden, Pelham, GA, Barbara Ann Feagan and her husband Reggie, Cotton, GA, four grandchildren, Louie Lamb, III. Lindsey C. Lamb, mother of Louie and Lindsey, Kay Lamb, Leslie L. Day and Lacey L. McCarty, mother of Leslie and Lacey, Marcia Lamb and a number of great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tueday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
