M. Ware Gardner

M. Ware Gardner, 65, of Lee County, GA, died February 21, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Ramsey will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Pavo, GA, Ware was raised in Sanford, FL and graduated from Seminole High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida State University. He moved to Lee County, GA four years ago from Tifton, GA and was employed with United Parcel Service for forty years. Ware was a Methodist by faith.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda E. Gardner of Lee County, GA, a son, Pearson Gardner of Statesboro, GA, his step-children, Diana Price Burrell, William Brian Price and his wife, Bethany and Kenneth (Kenny) Price and his wife, Saralyn all of Lee County, GA, two sisters, Joanne Beaty and her husband, Beverly of Pavo, GA and Robbie Lee Coggins of San Matco, FL and his grandchildren, Kayla, Kari, Madisyn, Landon and Khloe. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Lee Gardner and his mother, Muriel Ware Gardner, a sister, Lavania Carlton and a brother, Aldene Gardner.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
