Lynn Buck Johnson, Jr

Lynn Buck Johnson, Jr. (MSGT, USAF, Ret.), 82, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery.

A native of Long Beach, CA, Mr. Johnson spent his formative years in Santa Paula, CA and graduated from Santa Paula High School. He joined the United States Air Force in 1949, served twenty one years, retired in 1970 with the rank of Master Sergeant and was a veteran of Korean Conflict.

Mr. Johnson moved to Albany, GA in 1986 and was employed with Proctor and Gamble as a department manager and was the manager of the Jr. Food Store on Gillionville Road. He was also employed with G & G Go-Fers and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 2785.

Survivors include his son, Kenneth (Ken) Johnson and his wife, Laura of Albany, GA, a grandson, Steven Johnson of Albany, GA. He is also survived by a warm and loving extended family. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Jean Johnson and a son, Michael Lee Johnson.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
