Lucille Turner Bowman

Lucille Turner Bowman, 67, of Albany, GA, died Saturday December 1, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cordray United Methodist Church. Rev. Guy Mathis will officiate. Interment will follow in Cordray Methodist Church Cemetery, Calhoun Co., GA.

A native of Leary, GA., Mrs. Bowman had resided in Albany, GA, since 1968 moving from Leary, GA, She was formerly employed with Lee Co. Manufacturing and retired from Walmart. She was a member of Cordray United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Dewitt Turner and Hazel Doris Hill Turner, and her siblings, Anna Barbara Moore, Martha Turner, James Turner, Bobby Turner and Julia Turner.

Survivors include her husband, George Thomas Bowman, Albany, GA, a son, Joseph Bowman (Beth), Leslie, GA, a daughter, Lynn Connell (Danny), Tifton, GA., three brothers, Luke Turner, Cuthbert, GA, John Turner and W.D. Turner both of Albany, GA, four sisters, Beatrice Allen, Albany, GA, Betty Sheffield and Louise Roney both of Edison, GA, Berthaline Schwartz, Washington State, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
