Lorraine Helen Rozmus Szczepanik

Lorraine Helen Rozmus Szczepanik, 91, of Leesburg, GA, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A funeral mass will be held Monday, May 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Rev. Finbarr Stanton will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A prayer service/rosary will be recited Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 6:00 p.m.

A native of Amsterdam, NY, Mrs. Szczepanik lived in New York State all of her life before moving to Leesburg, GA in 2010. She graduated from Troy College in Troy, NY with an Associate in Business Administration and was employed with The New York Telephone Company, The New York State Department of Income Tax Division and The State of New York Department of Motor Vehicles. She also worked as an LPN and after retirement, she became a realtor and broker with the Brazell and Blackstone Realty Company. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Mrs. Szczepanik was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Szczepanik, a son, Edward M. Szczepanik, Sr. and three grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Howell and her husband, Lee, of Leesburg, GA, two sons, David Buechler and his wife, Rosemary, of Hernandoe, FL and Kevin Szczepanik of Hagaman, NY, eleven grandchildren, Jeffrey Buechler, Scott Buechler, Daniel Buechler, Gordon Szczepanik, Peggy Szczepanik, Laura Szczepanik, Edward Szczepanik, Jr., Michael Lance Fisher, Justin Fisher, Jamie Howell and Joey Howell, five great grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
