Loretta M. Daniels

Loretta Maxwell Daniels, 80, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her daughter's residence in Cumming, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. Ross Powell will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Albany, GA, born to the late Leon Edgar and Ethel Loretta Maxwell, Mrs. Daniels graduated from Albany High School in 1953. After marrying and spending 20 years in King George, Virginia, she returned to Albany to work for her family's business, Albany Welding & Machine Works, Inc. as a bookkeeper for 10 years. She later retired from the State of Florida in Tallahassee. She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Daniels, along with brothers, Joseph Maxwell, and William (Bill) Maxwell.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Daniels Garner and her husband, Steve of Cumming, GA and Cindy Daniels Watson also of Cumming, GA, her daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Daniels of Albany, GA, her brothers, Charlie Maxwell and his wife, Tricia of Lee County, GA and John Maxwell and his wife, Gail of Lake Mary, FL, a sister, Marilyn Kramer of Tallahassee, FL, her grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Stacy Garner, Justin Garner, Jay Daniels, Jessica Grant, Whitney Haynes and Blake Watson and nine great-grandchildren.

Loretta was an avid reader, and after retiring enjoyed spending most of her time with her family.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 13, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
