Loren Gary (Gator) Turner

Loren Gary (Gator) Turner, 75, of Arlington, GA died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jackie Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Cordray Methodist Church Cemetery, Calhoun Co., GA.

Born in Cuthbert, GA, Mr. Turner had resided in Arlington, GA for the past five years moving from Morgan, GA. He was a retired farmer, a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louvinnia Turner.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Turner, Rainesville, AL and Tracy Turner (Sonya), Powell, AL, three step-sons, William Perryman (Delle), Morgan, GA, Kenneth Dewitt Sizemore (Jan), Arlington, GA, Carl Sizemore (Kristi), Tupelo, MS, three brothers, Perry Turner (Millie), Jim Turner and Robert Turner all of Shellman, GA, a sister, Bonnie Milner (Jimmy), Shellman, GA, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
