Lona Jeri Dickson

Lona Jeri Dickson, 75, of Worth County, GA, died August 26, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Ronald R. Baxley will officiate. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Doerun, GA, Mrs. Dickson graduated from Doerun High School and moved to Albany, GA in 1963. She lived in Albany until moving to Worth County in 2000. Mrs. Dickson was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and sang in the choir for twenty five years.

She was employed by the Marine Corps Logistic Base as an inventory manager and retired after forty four years of service. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Marsh and three siblings, Mallie O'Neal, Wallace O'Neal and Katie Lane.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel J. (Dan) Dickson of Sylvester, GA, a daughter, Lisa Marsh of Atlanta, GA, a son, David Marsh and his wife Kathy of Central Florida, two sisters, Nadine Bowden of Senoia, GA and Barnett Sorrells of Jacksonville, FL, a brother, Brantley O'Neal and his wife Elaine of Albany, GA, nine grandchildren, Kayla Marsh, Kelci Marsh, Kolin Marsh, Kloey Marsh, Jackie Alford, Craig Alford, Marky Aultman, Christie Aultman and Kellie Aultman.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
