Lois Sheffield Strickland

Mrs. Lois Sheffield Strickland, 94, of Albany, GA was born August 8, 1919 in Baker County, GA to Jolly and Mattie Sheffield. She died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Sylvester Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Raised in Baker County, Mrs. Strickland moved to Albany over 46 years ago. She was employed by Rose's Department Store for many years. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Estul Addison, a second husband, George Strickland and her sons, Bobby Estul Addison and Sterling Calvin Addison.

Survivors include her four grandchildren, Todd Addison (Ingrid) of Birmingham, AL; Whitney Addison Imeraj (Genc) of Marietta, GA; Billy Addison of Albany, GA: and Bobby Addison ( Rachel) of Nashville, TN and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
