Lisa Ann Walters

Lisa Ann Walters, 46, of Morgan, GA, died July 21, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Morgan Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Holdorf will officiate. Interment will follow at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery in Doerun, GA.

A native of Albany, GA, Lisa graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1985 and was a former member of Morgan United Methodist Church. Lisa was employed with JP Morgan Chase Bank as a Regional Development Manager for thirteen years where she was a national achiever and received numerous awards including the Business Banking President's Club Award. She had resided in Ohio for the past twenty five years before returning to Morgan, GA two years ago.

Survivors include a daughter, Celeste Lashley and her fiancee, Joe Benes of Akron, OH, her parents, Dave and Carol Walters, a sister, Amber Griner and her husband Mike, a brother, Dennis Walters, and a grandmother, Marilee Walters all of Morgan, GA, an uncle and aunt, Kevin and Shawn Michael of Puyallup, WA and special friends, Marsha and Allen Lee, Wesley Webb and Lisa Walker. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Truett and Lillian Eller and Don Walters.

Lisa was loving, proud and full of life. She touched the lives of many with her words of wisdom and a positive energy. A light that she passed on to everyone she met. She will be missed as a daughter, mother, sister, friend and professional. Lisa's favorite saying was, "LIFE IS GOOD".

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family is at the residence of Dave and Carol Walters, 10756 Dickey St., Morgan, GA 39866.

Flowers will be gladly accepted, however, those desiring may make donations to Morgan Baptist Church, 119 E. Church Street, Morgan, GA 39866, in memory of Lisa Walters.
