Linda Anne Whetstine

Linda Anne Whetstine, 74, of Albany, GA, died February 27, 2015 at Pruitt Health-Sylvester, GA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Father Thomas Raines will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, born to the late, William and Laura Gabel, Mrs. Whetstine graduated from Kenwood High School and married in 1960. She was a military wife and traveled and moved often before coming to Albany, GA in 1977 from Omaha, NE. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Alban's Anglin Catholic Church. She was also a member of The Ladies of Nasah, Job's Daughters and the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1285.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur E. (Art) Whetstine of Albany, GA, a daughter, Mary Anne Adkins of Sylvester, GA, two sons, William (Bill) Whetstine of Albany, and John Edward Whetstine and his wife, Kim of Dacula, GA and four grandchildren, Leslie Atkins and Joseph Atkins both of Sylvester, GA and Bryan Whetstine and Andrew Whetstine both of Dacula, GA.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
