Linda Jean Rodgers

Linda Smith Rodgers, 67, of Montezuma, GA. died March 5, 2017 at Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Linda was born in Montezuma, GA on December 27, 1949 and had resided in Macon County, GA for most of her life. She graduated from Macon County High School in 1967and attended Georgia Southern University and Georgia Southwestern University`. Linda served as the Chief Magistrate Judge of Macon County for the past twenty nine years and was a member of Mount Zion St. Luke Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest O. (Ernie) Rodgers of Montezuma, GA., her daughters Maggie (Wesley) Vallotton of Valdosta, GA. and Betsy (Jacob) Vickers of Macon, GA., her parents, George and Helen Smith of Oglethorpe, GA, a sister, Jennifer (Jenny) Brannan of Montezuma, GA, three grandchildren, Kathleen Vallotton and Edward Vallotton both of Valdosta, GA., and Preston Vickers of Macon, GA.
