Linda Darlene Murphy

Linda Darlene Murphy, 78, of Albany, GA was born October 12, 1945 in Gillett, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by family. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. Walter Blankenship will officiate.

Linda was a homemaker, who not only raised her three children but also was the office manager at Ace Refrigeration, the family business, for thirty years.

She had a multitude of hobbies such as painting, genealogy, gardening, shopping and bird watching. Linda enjoyed sitting around her kitchen table visiting with family and friends, sharing home baked goods. Every day of her life was spent accompanied by little dogs she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. Nutter, Velma Nutter and siblings, Laverne Sasman, Danny Nutter, Wilbur Nutter and Shirley Phillips.

She is survived by her husband of sixty two years, Jerry Murphy, two daughters, Micki Jones and husband, Jack, Melissa Newell and husband, Dan, a son, Scott Murphy and Chris Banks, eight grandchildren, Candice Chapel and husband, Josh, Kristy Woolbright and husband, Kody, Billy Jones and wife, Kristi, Murphy Newell and wife Sara, Chase Newell and Sara Woodland, Hunter Watkins and husband, J. B., Kayleigh Hendley and husband, Sam, Colt Murphy and wife, Kayla and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the services at the cemetery.
