Linda Annelle Meyer

Linda Annelle Meyer, 74, of Moultrie passed away peacefully at her son’s home, on August 10, 2023. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 14, 2023, at 10:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Frank Delaney will officiate.  A committal service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL. 

Linda was born May 30, 1949, to Berry Alvin Garner and Margia Annelle Bedgood Garner in Moultrie, GA. She graduated from Moultrie High School in 1967 and attended Valdosta State College to receive a degree in teaching. She then went to The University of Georgia and graduated with a Masters in Mathematics. 

Linda met a young Airman named, Freddie Herman Meyer and they married in 1976. She was a military wife but taught mathematics at Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville, GA, and other schools in the Thomasville City School District. Linda enjoyed Art Classes at Moultrie Art Center. She also wrote and had published a series of children's math books with Dr. Dale Graham. 

 Linda is survived by her children, James Frederick Meyer, and Stacey of Baconton, William Alvin Almaron Meyer, and Florelyn of Moultrie, Zebulon Eli Holcombe Meyer and Leslie of Leesburg; grandchildren, Billy Joe Meyer, Bentley Luke Meyer, Tyler Jace Meyer, Henry Jackson Meyer, Evelyn Rose Meyer, Erin Mahrie Meyer, Avery Madison Meyer, and Zoey Bell Meyer; a sister, Pamela McGlamry, Moultrie, GA, and brother, Steve Garner (Teresa), Cumming, GA. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Herman Meyer. 

A visitation will be held at Mathews Funeral Home Sunday, August 13^th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
