Linda Gail Humphries

Linda Gail Humphries, 56, of Leesburg, GA passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24 at First Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany. Rev. Wesley Kaylor will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

Mrs. Humphries was born in Lagrange on April 27, 1956 to Oran Lee Broome of Albany, Georgia and Betty Jo Smallwood Broome and attended Westover High School in Albany.
She attended Sasser United Methodist Church and was employed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Derrell Humphries of Leesburg, a son, Andrew Clay Humphries and his wife Debbie Humphries. She was preceded in death by her son Jason Derrell Humphries and her father, Oran Lee Broome. She is also survived by her Mother and Step Father, Robert and Betty Vislocky of Albany and sister, Sandra Broome Manley of Lexington, South Carolina.

Pallbearers include Andrew Clay Humphries, Brian Lee Manley, Dr. Edwin Manley, Jr. US Navy, Roman Humphries, Eli Zabadah, and Josh Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ed Manley, Charlie Griner, Willard Humphries, Gary Humphries, Nick Hilliary, and Phil Gouff.
