Linda Rentz Hudson

Linda Rentz Hudson, 76, of Newton, GA, died May 6, 2024 at her residence.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Linda was born in Camilla, GA on February 9, 1948 to Rev. Welton and Annie Ruth Rentz.  She was raised in Newton, GA, attended Baker County Public Schools and lived in Albany for many years.  Linda married Ed Hudson in 1969 and moved back to Newton, GA in 2004.   She was a Baptist by faith, a great cook and enjoyed decorating, reading and going to the Beach. She enjoyed spending time with her pets: Lucy, Rozee and Little Mama. She enjoyed the company of her lifelong best friend, Dee Rolling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Hudson and her siblings, Woody Rentz, Pete Rentz, Lee Rentz and Shirley Rentz.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Walker of Morgan, GA, Larry Walker of Albany, GA, Tracie Hudson and Mark Hudson both of Newton, GA, her siblings, Dorothy “Dot” (Mel) Porter of Baker County, GA, Marilyn (Troy) Hodges of Albany, GA, Martha English (Bill) of Marietta, GA, Gloria Throneberry of Shelbyville, TN and Jan (Larry) Roach of Newton, GA, one granddaughter, Mandy (Stevens) Culverson of Bainbridge, GA and two great-grandchildren, Mills and Allee Hornsby.
