Lillian Kimbrel Allen

Lillian Kimbrel Allen, 84, of Leary, GA, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at her daughter's residence in Leary, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Milford Baptist Church. Rev. Preston Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Leary City Cemetery.

Born in Arlington, GA, Mrs. Allen had resided in Leary for the past sixty five years. She was retired from Coats and Clark and was a member of the Milford Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Cleve Kimbrel and Effie White Kimbrel, her husband, George Conner Allen, two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include a son, Steve Allen, Leary, GA, three daughters, Joan Cheshire (James), Leary, GA, Rita Wooden (Woody), Baconton, GA, Lisha Brackin (Buddy), Leary, GA, two brothers, Howard Kimbrel (Bonnie), Sylvester, GA, Lewis Kimbrel (Vonnie), Tallahassee, FL, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
