Liani Stroud Carpenter

Liani Jane Carpenter, 57, of Lee Co, GA died Friday, April 20, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Hospital.Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 1209 Grave Springs Road, Leesburg, GA. Rev. Bruce Smith will officiate.

Born in Bartow, FL, Liani had resided in Lee Co., GA most all of her life. Liani had a deep love for her family. She was a great daughter, sister, mom, granny and aunt. Her home was always open for family or friends. Though the last few years of her life were not easy for her, since cancer and treatments, she fought hard and always kept a good humor about her. She never complained about the struggle. She is and always will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is now with our Heavenly Father and she is not in any pain or struggling to take a breath. Her loyalty to family lives on in the Stroud tradition that she very much was a part of and was a great part of the family. We love you Liani and nothing will ever be the same without you.

Survivors include two sons, Marshall Merritt (Michelle), Hahira, GA and Austin Merritt, Lee Co., GA, parents, Virgil and Betty Davis Stroud, Lee Co., GA, two brothers, Virgil Eugene Stroud, Jr., Lee Co., GA, Rocky Lamar Stroud (Marcelle), Jack DeWayne Stroud (Kathy), Lee Co., GA, two sisters, Jo Stroud (Marshall) Driver, Crawfordville, FL, Lu Anne Stroud Woodard (Jimbo) Lee Co., GA and eight grandchildren, Will, Brooke, Aiden, Levi, Waylon, Harvey, Tristan and Riley.
