Levi Francis Bohannon, Jr., 85, of Leesburg, GA died Monday, December 17, 2012 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Eidson and Rev. Chris Hill will officiate. Entombment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Savannah, GA Mr. Bohannon had lived in Albany since 1966 moving to Leesburg in 1997. He was employed with The Corps of Engineers early in his life and was employed with United Insurance Company for thirty two years. Mr. Bohannon was a self employed businessman and was the former owner of Levi's Chicken Box, A-1 & Rodell Janitorial and Carpet Cleaning Service, Kregg's Pit Barbeque, Michael's Barbeque and Hot Dog King.
Mr. Bohannon was member of Albany Christian Church where he served as an Elder. He was a member of The Albany Flying Club and The Gideon's International (Albany Camp).
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Bohannon of Leesburg, three daughters and their husbands, Faye (Byron) Miller of Albany, Janet Elizabeth (Jerry) Williams of Indianapolis, IN and Pamela (John) Greer of Newnan, GA, a brother, Herschel Bohannon of Jacksonville, FL, ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
