Lester Taylor Harrison

Lester Taylor Harrison, Sr.,86, of Albany, GA, died June 28, 2022 at his residence.  Memorial services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at The First United Methodist Church of Albany.  Rev. Jim Morrow and Pastor Laurel Griffith will officiate.

Mr. Harrison was born on April 13, 1936 in Bainbridge, GA to Oscar and Mamie Harrison.  He moved to Albany, GA in 1936 and graduated from Albany High School in 1954.  Mr. Harrison was employed for many years with Engineering and Equipment Company before retiring in 2002. 

Mr. Harrison was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Albany and the Littleton Sunday School Class.  He enjoyed fishing and was active with Samaritan’s Purse and traveled to areas of natural disaster to provide humanitarian aid.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Martin Harrison, his children, Lester T. (Susan) Harrison, Jr, Susan Harrison Daniels and Kyle (Tina) Harrison all of Albany, GA, his siblings, Janet Mills and Leslie Harrison both of Tallahassee, FL, and his grandchildren, Brittney Taylor Harrison of Leesburg, GA, Alexander Lee Harrison of Smyrna, GA and Kevin Martin Harrison of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Friday before the service at the church.
